NEWPORT BEACH, California--(PR NEWSWIRE) November 4, 2005--At the Eighth Annual West Coast Security Forum, held this year at the Westin Bayshore Resort in Vancouver, Canada, Erik Pace Birkholz, President and Founder of Special Ops Security, and Timothy M. Mullen, CIO and Chief Software Architect for AnchorIS.Com, a developer of secure, enterprise-based accounting software, will present once again on November 14, 2005.

"The growth of the West Coast Security Forum over our eight year history into Western Canada's most prominent information technology security conference is a testament to the critical importance of IT security issues to West Coast organizations," said Jo-Ann Smith, Chair, West Coast Security Forum. "As such, we are particularly thrilled that Mr. Birkholz has offered to share his expert knowledge of issues and trends in this area with our audience for the third year, following two wildly successful years of hosting the Special Ops presentation, this year focusing on our 2005 theme of Identity Management."

"This will be my third time presenting at West Coast," said Birkholz, "and I couldn't be happier that Tim Mullen will be joining me on stage. Last time we presented together we took home the WCSF Best Presentation Award and had some fantastic audience participation."

Special Ops Security is an exhibitor and Gold Sponsor of the 2005 West Coast Security Forum, located at booth #5 in the main pavilion.

About West Coast Security Forum

The West Coast Security Forum was created in 1998 by the CIPS Vancouver Security SIG - the security special interest sub-group affiliated with the Vancouver chapter of the Canadian Information Processing Society. The conference is locally organized entirely by volunteers and operates as a not-for-profit organization. The primary goal of the CIPS Vancouver Security SIG is bringing high-quality speakers in front of local audience and to raise awareness of relevant information security issues. From its grassroots start the Westcoast Security Forum has grown into a major local event over its eight year history.
